Year 11 students study Religious Education, one Mathematics course, English/ESOL, and a Science course, plus three other subjects of their choice. Year 12 students study Religious Education and an English/ESOL course, plus five other subjects of their choice. Year 13 students study Religious Education, plus five other subjects of their choice.

Our senior curriculum spans a wide range of subject areas – including Commerce, English, Health and Physical Education, Languages (French, Chinese and Te Reo Māori), Mathematics and Statistics, Religious Education, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, and Visual and Performing Arts – giving students genuine choice as they work towards NCEA.
NCEA Results
St Mary’s College students consistently leave school with NCEA qualifications well above the national and Auckland regional averages. Of our 2025 school leavers, 99.2% left with at least NCEA Level 1, 96.9% with at least Level 2, and 91.6% with at least Level 3.
